The City of Cañon City is seeking community members to participate in a focus group to discuss amendments to the Cañon City Charter for the 2022 Election.
The City of Cañon City is looking at the Charter for portions that are inconsistent with Colorado law including open meetings, employees serving at the pleasure of the City Council and penalties for violations. The City Council would also like to discuss Article XIV that deals with Public Parks.
There will be three (3) scheduled meetings to discuss information with the Focus Groups. The City of Cañon City is looking for community engagement and feedback.
Focus Group Meetings will be held at City Hall:
- Monday, July 11, 2022, from 6-7 p.m.
- Monday, July 18, 2022, from 10-11 a.m.
- Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
