The Cañon City Police Department (CCPD) Community Policing mission includes developing and maintaining partnerships to improve communications between residents, business owners, and managers, and promote crime prevention strategies. CCPD is active in many community outreach and partnership programs to include:

- Fully-funded multi-year K-9 Program, through the generosity of the entire community
