The mission of the Community Service Officer is to serve our citizens by ensuring compliance with the city’s municipal codes and the model traffic code concerning parking violations.
The Community Service Officers ensure compliance for:
- enforcing violations of handicapped parking without a placard
- time limit parking
- electric vehicle designated parking
- blocking of driveways
- blocking fire hydrants
- blocking sidewalks
- parking and storage of commercial and recreational vehicles and trailers on residential streets
- model traffic code parking violations.
Parking enforcement may include:
- education
- fines
- vehicles in violation being towed.
