Citizens Police Academy

About the Academy

The Cañon City Police Department provides a 9-week Citizens Police Academy each year in April through May and/or September through October. The Academy takes place on Wednesday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Police officers and personnel present to Academy participants on Police Department Units and Divisions, helping citizens better understand how and why their Police Department works. If you are interested in learning what CCPD is all about from records up to investigations this class is for you!
