  1. Dumpster Cleanup Program

    October 23, 2020, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Location #1-Dumpster placed at the Cañon City Police Station at 161 Justice Center Road Location # 2-Dumpster placed in the West Parking Lot at Harrison School at 920 Field Avenue Location # 3-Dumpster placed in the Constantino’s Parking Lot at 110

    The City of Cañon City is collaborating with Twin Enviro for a Dumpster Cleanup Program. The Dumpster Cleanup Program will be comprised of placing dumpsters in three separate locations throughout the city on Friday, October 9th and Friday, October 23rd. Code Enforcement has focused the placement of the dumpsters in areas in the city where litter and junkyard violations have been noticed. The Dumpster Cleanup Program will begin at 8 a.m. and end the same day around 3 p.m. or when dumpsters are full.

  1. Pumpkins in the Plaza

    The Cañon City Public Library and Fremont Center for the Arts are hosting the first annual Pumpkins in the Plaza on Friday, October 23rd. This event will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m at Macon Plaza between the Public Library and Fremont Center for the Arts. There will be storytimes, pumpkin painting, and a costume contest for kids and pets. Apple cider and snacks will be provided. Pumpkins will be provided free to registered participants. Physical distancing protocols will be followed. Pumpkin Patch Storytimes: 10:30 am | 1:30 pm | 3:00 pm There is a limited number for each session.
