Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

The City of Cañon City’s 2022 Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on First Friday this year at Macon Plaza.

Starting at 4:30 p.m. we welcome the public to come meet and take photos with Santa! There will be a tree ornament craft for kids and families in the Carnegie library. Mayor Ashley Smith will be turning on the Christmas Tree lights at 6:00 p.m. followed by a performance by the Cañon City High School Madrigal Singers. We will be providing complimentary hot chocolate and s’mores. In addition, there will be food for purchase by From the Flames Wood Fired Pizza. Once again, we will have our famous snowball fight area set up with our fake plush snowballs! Voting for the Main Street “A Very Victorian Window Decorating Contest” also begins on First Friday.
