City Closures Following Governor's Orders

City Facility and Spaces Closures

Adhering to the Governor’s executive stay-at-home order, the following City buildings/spaces will be closed until further notice: library, museum, playgrounds, tennis courts, skate parks, restrooms, picnic shelter areas, and campgrounds (Red Canyon, Temple Canyon, and Royal Gorge Park). Open space areas and trails are to remain open as long as the public respects physical distancing of six (6) feet. If there is overcrowding of these city owned areas we will need to reassess the situation for everyone’s safety. Please be safe and considerate of others when you are enjoying our community open space areas. Remember there are no restrooms open at this time so be sure to be prepared before you leave the house. Also take plenty of water and snacks with you when you head out. We ask the public to please be good trail stewards. If you pack it in, pack it out. Wash your hands often. Don’t panic. Be kind. By following these guidelines we are hoping to keep each other safe during this time.
