The City of Cañon City has partnered with SeeClickFix in order to help residents report non-emergency issues to the City. SeeClickFix is a communications platform for residents to report and track non-emergency issues, and governments to track, manage, and reply--ultimately making communities better through transparency, collaboration, and cooperation. Residents will be able to report issues on the city website or they can download the SeeClickFix app on their mobile device and report any issues they see this way. Residents will be able to report on a number of issues including potholes, sidewalks, illegal dumping, stormwater, graffiti, and more.
For example, a resident will be able to take a photo of a pothole, upload the photo, give the location, add a description, and then submit this report to the city. The report is then sent to the correct department. From this point residents can receive notifications when the service request has been updated. Residents will also be able to follow any other requests that have been made that they want to keep track of.
