CCHS senior Emma Rowe creates a PSA on lead pipes and drinking water for her Senior Capstone Project.
Canon City High School (CCHS) senior Emma Rowe worked on her Senior Capstone project this semester focusing on our community's drinking water. She spent time at the Water Treatment Plant and was mentored by our Chief Plant Operator, Travis Payne. She put together this PSA about lead pipes and drinking water.
Here is some information on Emma and her project!
About me: My name is Emma Rowe and I am a Senior at Cañon City High School. I am involved in soccer, volleyball, Encore, NHS, and I also manage boy’s basketball. After high school I plan on attending college to acquire a Bachelors in Biochemistry while also playing college soccer.
About my project: My interest in completing this specific Senior Capstone Project came from my interest in chemistry and in partnership with the Cañon City Water Treatment Plant, my desire to help educate people about the water that they’re drinking.
