US 50 Pedestrian Improvements

The City of Cañon City is working with the Colorado Department of Transportation to complete pedestrian and access improvements on US 50 (Royal Gorge Boulevard) between 1st Street and 15th Street.

The project will improve operations and safety for vehicles, pedestrians, and bicyclists. Construction between 1st Street and 9th Street is anticipated in the Summer of 2021. There will be an Open House on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 6 pm via Zoom to discuss the project with the public. The public is also encouraged to use map.social to view the concept design of the pedestrian improvements on US 50 through Cañon City, and comment on the issues that you feel are affecting the City and may have an impact on the project. In addition, there are project boards and a comment box up at City Hall.
