Cañon City is currently at Level Orange: High Risk on the State of Colorado "Dial" COVID-19 Framework as of 12:00 am, Friday, December 4, 2020.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) released a dial framework to help local governments and Coloradans navigate and apply safety guidance throughout the pandemic.

In response to the continued rise in COVID-19 case rates, test positivity, and hospitalizations the Fremont County Department of Public Health and Environment along with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is moving Fremont County to Level Orange: High Risk. The Emergency Public Health Order will go into effect at 12:00 am Friday, December 4, 2020, and will remain in effect for 30 days unless extended.

In response to the rise in COVID-19 case rates, test positivity, and hospitalizations, the Fremont County Department of Public Health & Environment - Colorado (FCDPHE) along with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is moving Fremont County to Level Yellow: Safer at Home Concern and amended and extended the current Emergency Public Health Order to November 19th, 2020. Level Yellow Safer at Home-Concern restrictions will go into effect on November 10th, 2020, at 12 a.m.
