Royal Gorge Bridge and Park

Cañon City has so much to offer visitors and is proud to be home of the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, a destination unlike any you’ll ever experience. The Royal Gorge is one of the deepest gorges in Colorado and was created some three million years ago when a trickle of water first began to slowly carve a canyon out of the solid granite bedrock. That trickle is now the raging Arkansas, one of America’s longest rivers.

Best of all, families and friends alike will marvel at the awe-inspiring panoramic views from one of the world’s highest suspension bridges – hanging 956 feet high and spanning a quarter mile across the gorge. But whether you looking to sightsee, have an adventure, go on a family vacation or day trip, this one-of-a kind attraction has something for everyone.
