5.      Adoption of the Agenda and Consent Agenda

Pursuant to subsection 2.04.090(B) of the Cañon City Municipal Code, this agenda may be amended, by a majority of Council, by the addition of new items or otherwise, prior to the conduct of any formal business hereinafter listed.

Consent Agenda

All matters listed under Item 3, Consent Agenda, are considered to be routine and will be approved with one motion.  Documents are approved substantially as drafted.  There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Council member or citizen so requests, in which case the items may be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered separately, at the discretion of Council.

a.      Authorize Mayor’s signature on Funding Agreement with State Historical Fund:  Rudd House; $29,700.00.

b.      Authorize City Administrator’s signature on Purchase Agreement:  Cartegraph conversion to Operations Management System $111,260.00.

c.      Authorize Mayor’s signature on Contract for Services:  Municipal Judge.

d.      Approval of the design recommendation for the Centennial Park shelter.

e.      Assignment of Trail Names within the Royal Gorge Park: The Maze and Dream Weaver.

f.       Bids:

 ---#19-18: Uniforms & equipment for the Police Department to Tactical & Police Supply, Cañon City, CO; amount not to exceed $38,000.00.

---#21-18: Various concrete projects for the Parks Department to Solid Earth Civil Constructors, Inc., Pueblo, CO; amount not to exceed $70,000.00.

---#23-18: Two used Staff vehicles for the Police Department:  2015 used Ford Fusion to Faricy Ford, Cañon City, CO; $14,800.00 and 2016 used Ford Fusion to City Auto Plaza, Cañon City, CO; $14,620.44..

7.      Ordinance 2, Series of 2018 - Second Reading
An ordinance assigning the local liquor licensing authority pertaining to Special Event Liquor permits to the City Clerk (12-48-107(4)) and prohibiting the consumption of alcohol by the licensee, staff, volunteers, etc. while participating in the sale, service, etc. of alcoholic beverages.

8.      Ordinance No. 3, Series of 2018 - Second Reading
An ordinance amending Title 17, revising the definition of “Junkyard”, adding a definition for “Intermodal Shipping Container”, and enhancing provisions for screening of commercial/industrial uses and maintenance of display lots.

9.      Ordinance No. 4, Series of 2018 - Second Reading
An ordinance amending Section 13.08.045 and deleting Section 13.04.155 of the Municipal Code concerning the abandonment of water tap permits and water taps.

10.      Ordinance No. 5, Series of 2018 - Second Reading
An ordinance amending Section 8.80.020(8) of the Municipal Code – designating the Board of Adjustment to hear and decide appeals and variances from the City’s floodplain regulations.

12.      Economic Development Assistance Agreement:  Four Mile PDD/Sun Cañon Development.

13.      Donation Agreement:  1145 Ohio.

14.      Approval of the recommendations from the Royal Gorge Regional Tourism Council:  one destination marketing organization, district to be formed under Colorado Revised Statute, and dollar for dollar match both from the City and the County.

15.      Approving a Life Safety Grant Program –Central Business District.

16.      Approval of Chamber of Commerce Tourism Funding in the amount of $31,000.00.

17.      Authorize Mayor’s signature on Tolling Agreement

18.      Ordinance No. 6, Series of 2018 - First Reading
          
An ordinance increasing stormwater fees.
