Welcome to our
website. If you live, work, or play in Canon
City you will find a full service police agency
that strives to provide high quality services to
our citizens and visitors. Policing in the new
millennium has brought new challenges from the
usual street crime to methamphetamine labs and
domestic and international terrorism. Our
department has adopted a philosophy of community
policing by involving local business and
citizens to work with us in resolving recurring
problems. We are also utilizing problem oriented
policing as our tactical tool in studying and
designing responses with citizen input to
