comprise our Special Tactics and Operations (S.T.O.P.) Team. With a variety of specialty non-lethal, as well as lethal weapons at their disposal, the team can configure to respond to most threats of any likelihood. These missions may include barricaded armed subjects, hostage situations, high-risk warrant service or unusually armed individuals. The S.T.O.P. team trains monthly to hone and maintain skills. The team and the department improved our less-than-lethal capabilities substantially and continue to do so. Much progress is being made in research to disarm/defuse felonious individuals.
