City Clerk/Projects Administrator
The
City Clerk’s office generally serves as the “front-line” for
general customer contact and addresses thousands of requests for
information annually, pursuing a diversity of actions and projects
as varied as the persons served. The Clerk’s office staffing
consists of two full-time staff members; the City Clerk and the
Deputy City Clerk. The City Clerk serves as the records custodian of
the City, and develops and implements procedures for the care,
custody and retrieval of city documents and records. The Clerk’s
office staff assembles informational packets and reports for the
City Council, tracking and developing a record of all formal
meetings and actions of the Council, and processing all contracts,
agreements, etc. Additional responsibilities include review and
issuance of 15 various code required business licenses. The
Clerk’s office administers city elections, prepares legal notices,
processes cemetery records, insures the Municipal Code is updated by
legislative actions of the Council, and provides administrative
support through preparation of correspondence, proclamations,
special reports, etc., at the request of the Mayor, City Council, or
City Administrator.

submitted to the City Clerk's Office on forms provided for that purpose.
Nominal copy charges will apply for any copies provided to the
requesting party.
